TERRACE GARDEN UPDATE : END OF THE YEAR 2016

These pictures are taken from our terrace garden this end of the year.
Looks nothing special.
Very wet months dururing the rainy season makes the plants don't grow optimally.
This is the rack on the southern side.
We put little red cabbages here.
Three gutters are moved here, from the western side.
We grow caisin here.

A bucket and baby-bath tube are used as water reservoir.

Lots of baby caisin from self sown seedlings.
Such a shame to pull out as weed.

The only one parsley as a survivor.

This is the eastern side... and the center row too...

Three cabbages 'KK Cross' on the eastern side.

Eight red cabbages 'Scarlet' in a row, next to the KK Cross row.

Thai basil under the red cabbage row.

Hot peppers on the center row.

They look so productive...

They never stop producing fresh peppers.

Three kale or kailan under the hot pepper plants.

The northern side...

The Brassica patch have changed...
Not so beautiful as before...

It seem that the rain is so cruel for our Brassica, especially green cabbage.

The edge of leaves look dry and brownish, then several days later they will be fallen.

The only two red cabbages which ready to be harvested

The only brassica that grow well now is broccoli.

Broccoli is ready from seedling until productive stage.

We olso put some seedlings of varigated pepper 'under' the broccoli.
That's really save space for us...

At the corner, a pot of hot long pepper on the Vinca's pot.

The red hot peppers are really striking!

And this is the western side...
The only one red cherry tomato at the corner.
A row of red cabbage on the highest and lowest row.

There are two rows of caisin and also a row of caisin seedling below.
These caisin came from self sown seedling.
So bountiful...
Thanks God for everything.

WILD FERN ON OUR GREEN WALL

This is our backyard wall...

The wall is almost covered by so many plants.
Fern, orchids, sirih (Piper betel), and any climbers.

The brick wall in our eastern backyard looks green by the moss and fern.

The ferns grew by them selves.

Growing wildly among the stones and bricks.

We can enjoy this green scenery from our kitchen window.

Please don't you care about the dirty windows.

This wet rainy season is so favorable for them.

There are so various wild ferns here.

They looks so happy ....

Multiplying intensively...
Thanks GOD...

FRUITY FRIDAY : PAPAYA, FIRST FRUIT...

We have a very nice morning this Friday.

Look... the sky was so blue...

A neglected patch, but a bit productive.
Actually, last week I have thought about cutting down this tree, cause it grows so high.

And we found a nice sight from our papaya tree.

The first fruit was ripen.

Looking yellowish...

Tree-ripen papaya...

My little one was so enthusiastic.
Her little hand tried to move this fruit.
Too big for her...
She looked so happy, so enjoy...
Her first experience with homegrown papaya...

OUR EASTERN BALCONY THIS WEEK

This is our balcony this week.

Last week we have harvested 'kangkung' (Ipomea aquatica) from the gutters.

Caisin is growing jostling with the kangkung.

The vertical rack is still full of mint.

The mint leaves look so fresh.

The row of chives and white pokcoy looks so lush.

It seems no bugs visiting.

So fresh...

So green...

The white chive flower is so beautiful.

A pot of Philodendron and fern 'Suplir' are growing beautifully on the corner.

It's a view our balcony from the terrace garden.
Four Queen of the Night flowers still blooming in this early morning.
Beautiful...
