BATIK'S DAY

2 October is a special moment for Indonesian.
We celebrate Batik's day.


Since 2009, UNESCO was determine Batik as cultural heritage from Indonesia.
There are a lot of Batik's center in Indonesia, mostly in Java Island.

Batik's gown

There is a village that produce painting Batik in Banjarnegara.
It is Gumelem Village.
Batik is look like a painting that have a high art value.
I think the painter same as an artist.
In that village, peoples (mostly women) spent their free time after they work on their farmland with painting Batik's cloth.

There are two kind of Batik, painting Batik and printing Batik.
It have so many feature or motif; classic or modification.

Look the motif...
Mostly... floral feature, cause essentially they are farmer who live surrounded by plants. 
They also use natural dye, that made from many kind of leaves, bark, fruits, seeds, rinds or flowers.
