FLOWER BUD

This is my 'Cempaka Gondok' or magnolia, that I got as a gift for my baby birth.
You can see the plant here.

The plant have been moved into bigger pot and I put it next to my bedroom, so I can see this plant from the window almost everyday.
Look... I found a flower bud!

Last week, when the bud was still small, I though it just a shoot.

I can wait to see the flower bloom and enjoy the exotic fragrance, peoples say it's a heavenly fragrance...

That makes me so happy...

For me it is getting colder. Morning temperatures to 2 degrees Celsius
Today, the sun shone and at noon is 18 degrees C.

  4. So exciting to have a Magnolia bud. There are so many types of Magnolia, I suppose this is one for a warmer climate. I have 3 different Magnolias in my garden and I am looking forward to see your flower.

    1. I think you're right, Janneke. Mine is tropical magnolia, that grows so well on the hot heat weather.

  5. Very exciting! Tropical magnolias fascinate me, and I am always surprised how distinctive - but always delicious! - the fragrances of different magnolia species are.
