SHORT COURSE ON OPTIMIZING HOME GARDEN : PART 1

Last week was a very busy and tiring week for us, but so interesting...
Yes, I was following short course on optimizing home garden.
This course was hosted by local government, especially Sustainable Food Division.
More than 65 women from so many communities followed this course.
We shared our experience on gardening and many more.
This series is about simple report of this course.

The first day was indoor activity.
We got so many lessons from the experts.
The first lesson was about rising chicken on the home garden.
That was really interesting me, as long I often failed on raising chicken.
The second lesson was about growing banana, chili-pepper and root crops.
And the last lesson on the first day was about raising fish on the home garden.
A very tiring day...

The second day,  we got lessons about organic gardening and food processing.
The first lesson was about organic gardening.
A long discussion with the expert, a researcher and lecturer.
So interesting!
Great lesson...
The second lesson was about food processing.
We learned about preserve fresh products from home garden.
Making salty fish and egg, storing fresh vegetables, making jam and puree, and the last was about making nata de coco from coconut water.
Full days for great lessons.
