PEELING THE 'KARA BENGUK' SHELL...

Several days ago, when I was tidying up our kitchen, I found a  little pail of dried kara benguk.
I think it comes from last year harvest.

The bean still in the tough shell.

A neglected harvest.

Then I peeled the shell, and got a big bowl of seeds.

    1. Here, people processing and fermenting the bean into traditional food 'tempeh'. But several days ago when I was googling, there's anew product from this bean 'milk'.

  2. Will the seeds still be OK to eat or will you use them for sowing?

    1. Yes, Sue. The seed is still good enough to be processed, and to be sowed too.

  4. I'm not familiar with this plant. Will you sow the seeds for more plants? The seeds are beautiful!

  5. These beans still look very nice. Are you going to sow them or soaking and cooking to eat?
