GET THE SHINE WITH LETTUCE FLOWERS

Cloudy and rain...
So cool...
A gray morning...
No bright sunshine ....

I found the shine from my terrace garden.
Look the yellow flowers...
They are brightening my day.

My red lettuce flowers are blooming.
I let five red lettuces grow for their seed.
A cheaper way to get seed for the next planting.

I will get the seed forward.
But right now... I can enjoy the beauty of their flowers.

They make my terrace garden more colorful.
Brighten my cloudy day...
Warms my home...

Little stars on my home garden.
Shine... shine...shine...

  1. My lettuce is still growing even after the below freezing nights, it really likes cool weather or it goes to seed before we can eat it. We have a wild lettuce that is poisonous I think but the flowers and seeds look like garden lettuce.

    1. Sounds a wonderful garden lettuce. A freezing day maybe is not friendly for the lettuce. I think yours is better than mine.

    1. Yes, we get the beauty and the seed. They grow so fast in this season. Like a little dandelion.

    1. Yeah, lettuces are usually harvested before their flowering stage. They still young and crispy. I usually left 3-4 plants for the seed.
      Have a nice weekend

  5. Our lettuce flowers aren't the same as yours so maybe you grow a different type?

  8. I use the same trick to get seeds and the flowers are beautiful. They are over here, though, as it's beginning to feel like winter!

    1. Yes, a cheaper way to get seed. Save our own seeds. Here, the cool weather maybe much warmer than your winter.
      Have a nice weekend

    1. Farmers usually pick and sell young lettuces. If the lettuces are emerging their flower buds, they aren't marketable anymore.
