MINI PUMPKIN

Helloween euphoria....
Maybe that's the most appropriate words to describe my back yard condition right now.
My little pumpkins was starting their fruiting stage.
I got their first fruit yesterday.

This is the first time I planted little variety of pumpkin 'eastern rise'.
I'm not sure about their maturity stage.

The skin is so unique.
I love the skin pattern... so beautiful!

Maybe you still remember about my older post 'Pumpkin progress'.
Here they are...

I planted pumpkins on two pots.
The vine climb on the trellis in front of my kitchen.

One pot was already give me its fruit, but another show me its young fruit.

This is mine...
How about yours?

    This variety is very interesting.
Planted in two pots create a beautiful decoration.
My pumpkins are not that interesting. In my country there are no such varieties.
    Have a nice day.
    I send greetings.

    1. My mini pumpkin maybe need sunrise more to get the brighter skin. Actually in my country, local variety are really limited, we have to import the seeds from UK, Aussie and Taiwan.

  3. I have never seen that variety here, the shape is so round. It was so wet this year that my pumpkins didn't do very well but I did get some butternut squash which I think tastes better. I have never grown pumpkins on a trellis, you proved it can be done!

    1. I planted pumpkin vertically cause limited land problem. This trellis is used for different vegetables each season. I planted chayote under this trellis before. They climb through the trellis. It's really help.

  4. I have never seen this small variety but the pattern of these is wonderful, lovely green stripes. I am amazed that you can grow these pumpkins in pots, I suppose you have to give them much fertilizer.

    3. Actually the original color is orange, whole of the skin fruit. But on the label tell us that shady or part shady area will make the skin have greenish stripes. Maybe like as mine.
