WALL CLEARING

Limited land make me think and work hardly to find space for gardening.
Horizontal gardening need wide land.
So, vertical gardening is the best choice for me.

Vertical gardening make me work effectively.
Really save land.
So, I have  lot of various plants in my small land.

before...

My back wall is one of my favorite place for vertical gardening.
Wall gardening...

This wall is full of so many kind of medicinal plant, vines and orchid.
Part shady area make this space have limited variety of plants that could grow well on it.
Rainy season made my back wall look so messy, because the plants grow so fast.

There are so many variety of species orchids, ferns, philodendron, jasmine, sirih (Pipper betle), Passion fruit, sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata), chayote,  pumpkin and more, that filling and climbing on the wall.
If usual gardener have to do land clearing, so I have to do wall clearing to the next planting.

I left a small part of sirih vine, jasmine, Philo and orchids.
Most of them  are perennial, so I just took a pruning to get a better shape and growth for their optimum yield.

after...

Actually, It is not too clear, but it's fairy clear for the next planting.
I will plant kara bean, kembang telang and some variety of Zingiberaceae.
All of the plants are tolerant in the part shady area.

So...
Get ready for wall gardening...

  1. Vertical gardening is becoming popular here too. You can buy structures with planting pockets and watering systems.

    1. Yes, I know that vertical garden is very popular in urban area. I'm practicing a simple vertical garden. The structure is too expensive for me and it's not easy to find it here.

    1. Yes, absolutely cool place. This space only get full sunshine about 2 hours every day. So, most of vegetables that I planted here didn't do well.
