This is our Kamboja Jepang (Adenium obesum).
Look... there are so many flowers blossom.
I planted it in a pot on my porch.
I took this pot on my terrace garden before, but this plant only got a little sunshine.
So the growth was not well enough.
Then I move this pot to my front porch about two months ago.
Two week later, I found so many flower buds.
The picture above was condition a month after moved.
And now... so colorful.
Actually this is my husband collection.
He bought the seedling about six years ago.
He put this plant in his parent's house, but not maintained.
So, he moved this plant to our home garden.
And ... Looks so healthy.
You have to know that this pot doesn't have drainage hole.
I only watering once or twice a week on the dry season, and no watering during rainy season.
My husband often remind me to provide drainage.
But I always forget it...
My porch is a nice home for my Adenium.
The flower will stand on the branch for about 3-5 days, then fall down to the ground.
Look the beautiful petal...
Please enjoy the beauty....
The way you have taken the flower is wonderful. i too have this plant in my house. The same color. There are also two colors in this variety. They are dark red and white. I wonder the way you presented the beauty of the flower.
ReplyDeleteActually my husband have more than six hybrid varieties of Adenium, but after her mother passed away, no one that maintained her garden.

DeleteThey are a burst of color! Lucky that you moved it to the sun.

DeleteBeautiful, I know you can have them as houseplants but I don’t think they will like my dry and east facing living room.
ReplyDeleteThank you Helene. I don't know if this plant can grow well on your cold climate. This plant love dry and hot climate, so it's called 'Mawar Gurun' (Desert Rose)
