GOMPHRENA : THE SURVIVOR

This is the only one survivor of my Gomphrena (Gomphrena globosa) plot.
On the last of September I took some Gomphrena and Cosmos seeds from a country roadside.
Then I sowed it on the east raised bed near my bedroom.
The Cosmos grew rapidly, but the Gomphrena looked so poor.
Maybe the seeds were immature.
So, I only found a little plant remain on the bed.
Then I moved it into a big pot together with my citrus.

Now... the little plant is giving me a striking color in my eastern back yard.
Here, this flower is called Kembang Wudel or Bunga Pentol Korek.

A simple plant, with its simple flower...
Please enjoy the beauty...

    1. Here, sometime the seeds were flown by the wind, fallen down, germinated and grown wildly on the country road side.
