VISITING AUNT'S GARDEN...

Last Thursday, we got a holiday, so we visited our big family.
We went out in the morning, first we visited my father's house.
Then, we visited my aunt, her house also her garden too.

It was a really nice experience on visiting her farmhouse.
Live on all of simplicity.
Beautiful landscape, fresh air and very nice scenery.

There's a little creek crossing on the edge of her garden.
Clear and cool water flow down...
So lovely...

My girl was so happy playing with the cool water on the creek.

After that we picked some veggies and cassava on her garden.
We collected  some eggplants and chillies remains.
This was her garden over the harvesting season.
Still much of veggies left in her garden.

Look my aunt...
A strong and simple woman.
She  is a hard worker...
As a traditional farmer, she is a highly skilled person.

My girl was really excited...
While she was in the garden, she gained a valuable experience and great fun.
An interesting experience for her...

Hope we can visit her as often as possible...

  2. Dear Endah, I think it is most important for our childrem, not only to know, but to experience, where our food comes from! Your lovely daughter shurely has many of those experiences and your aunt seems to be not only skilled and hardworking, but also friendly and happy - a good life.
    Yours Sarah

  3. Wonderful photo of your aunt and daughter together, Endah - shows what a happy day you were all having! Lovely to see how productive your aunt's garden is, very like the forest gardens here in UK. Thanks for sharing, a lovely post!

    1. Thank you Caro! My Aunt grows her garden all year round with so many varieties of food plants. She practices multiple cropping to make her garden more productive.

  4. I like that stream lots of fresh water for the plants and feet on a hot day.
The soil looks good and dark.
