PLAN FOR WESTERN RAISED BEDS

Something new, that more interesting...
I want to 'a new look' of my back yard, especially the western raised beds.

Not just interesting, but it must be beautiful and productive too.
I have to think hard.
Needs so many inspirations to make over this part.

I have thought about a simple make over, especially about the lay out of the planting row, mix planting, plant combination between perennial and annual, and of course the shape and also the color.

I don't want to change the existing raised beds.
Maybe just move the pots and other containers.

This current time, perennial is dominating this part.
I think I can do more 'action' with annual, than perennial.
Add new 'comer' into the raised bed, may be a good idea.

Reader, do you have any ideas about making over the raised bed.

More beautiful... more productive...

  3. I'm not sure if you like Swiss chard (also known as beetroot) or how it would grow in your climate, but there are several amazingly beautiful varieties with vibrantly coloured leaves; you harvest them on a cut-and-come-again basis and the harvest can last for several months.

    1. Sorry - that should be it is "also known as silverbeet", not beetroot!

    2. Thank you, Margaret. I have ever grown Swiss chard on pots on my terrace garden, but I have never try to grow them on the ground. Sound so interesting, I think that's a good idea. Thank you for the advice.
