FRUITY FRIDAY : RAMBUTAN BINJAI

January, February, March and early April...
Fruity months for us.
During these months we do have the peak of harvesting season for some of our tropical fruits.
This year is the best of Rambutan season from last five years.

Almost everyday my friends brought some Rambutans in to our office.
They took turns carrying some bunches of Rambutan for share.
Almost of us have rambutan trees on our home garden.
We have enjoyed so many variety of rambutan almost everyday during the harvesting season.

This is 'Binjai' variety.
The taste is so sweet and the texture is dry just a little bit juicy.
I really love it.
I can't stop to eat them, eat more and more...
A delicious fruit...
I hope next year we will get a plenty fruits again, even more.

  2. How nice, like somethign from deep under the sea or outer space! I have never heard of Rambutans, it seem they have not arrived here, perhaps they don´t like to travel such a long way (which is shere madness anyway). I wish I could come and bring you some lilly-of-the-valley and get some of those fruits in exchange...
    Have a nice weekend!
    Yours Sarah

    1. Oh...I would... Yes, fresh rambutan is only sold locally. Now we can find the pulps are canned and sold to the world wide, but just in a limited production.

    1. Yes, they are much better than mine. The 'bug' is only black ant. But it does not make serious damage.
