KACANG TUNGGAK : STARTING THE HARVEST SEASON

There's a vine of Kacang Tunggak (Vigna unguiculata) on the raised bed.
Lots of long beans are hanging on that vine.

I got a handful of old beans.

Then I removed the skin

We use to cook the seeds as ingredient of traditional gravy soup.

I still have no idea, what should I do with these seeds.

  1. If they weren't cooked I'd save them for next year :D
I will never get used to the fact that you harvest your garden when here we don't even have blooming trees.

  2. Soup with beans is great.

I always cook it without meat. Occasionally I add chicken.

    Here are the rules. http://www.seriouseats.com/2012/01/easy-bean-soups.html
