THE NEW OKRA PATCH

Our old okra patch was finished.
I found some self seedling okras on the raised bed jostling with the weed.
Then I pulled out the seedlings and transplanted into new raised bed.

Free seedlings of okra for the 'empty' bed.

This was the seedling three days after  transplanted.

These pictures above were taken in April.
Hoping they will grow well and productive.

  2. Okra is not my favorite, so I haven't grown it. However, someone gave me some seeds this year, so I'm going to give it a try. Maybe I can find a way to cook it I like.

  3. Looking good! I love okra, but only twice a year. I have grown it, but two stalks are always enough. I will be curious to see how you prepare it. Linda@Wetcreek Blog

    1. Yes, actually we only need a small amount of okra. But it a must, cause it's good for our health.

  5. I've never eaten or grown okra either. It's always good to have some free seedlings.

    1. Yes, that's right Sue. Free seedling is much better.

  6. I must say, I love the Okra flowers (I wonder if they're good cut flowers), but I'm not crazy about the veggie as a food source. But maybe I just haven't had it prepared correctly. Anyway, your garden plots seem so nicely organized.
