COOKING PAPAYA FLOWERS

These were gift from our neighbors on Sunday.
After we picked lots of things from their garden.
We shared the load from our gardens.

There were papaya flowers and Moringa leaves.

The papaya flowers were came from male tree.

Looks beautiful.

Here, papaya flowers usually cooked and served as traditional dish.

Beautiful stuff or delicious dish.

The taste is a bit bitter.

We use to stir fry the flower with hot chili and anchovies.

Right now, the flowers are still in my refrigerator.
I will share the dish next...
Thanks GOD

  1. Dearest Endah,
LOVE eating papaya, had them for two days fresh with some Greek yogurt. Never had the exotic looking flowers and bet they make a delicious dish with the hot chili and anchovies.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Thank you, Mariette. This male tree doesn't produce fruit, only flowers.

  3. We enjoy papaya for breakfast when we’re in Tenerife, but have never seen the lovely flowers and you can eat them - even better!
