Yesterday, August 22nd, BANJARNEGARA regency is on 182 years old.
So many happiness.
I really love this August.
There were a lot of special moment in this month.
Everyday will be a special moment, not just for me, but for everyone in here.
Today we got a town banner parade.
That was an annually tradition.
The Parade started from the old Governmental Center to the New Governmental Center down town.
There were about 80 decorated horse carts followed that parade.
The passenger of that horse cars were regent, vice regent and leaders at many governmental institutions in Banjarnegara.
They used traditional uniform called "beskap banyumasan" and traditional hat called "Blangkon".
In this parade, also there were parade of "gunungan" and traditional drum band.
There were seven gunungans.
Gunungan is a miniature of mountain that made from many kind of local fruits, vegetables, grains, edible root and tubers, also traditional Javanese pancake called "apem".
The specialty fruit of Banjarnegara must be presented.
That fruit is "salak" or snake fruit (Sallaca sp.)
In the end of this parade, visitors that watched this parade took the ingredients of gunungan, and then brought it home for their blessing.
So exciting... so much fun...
Happy Birthday My Town...
