PECUT KUDA

Actually, blue color is a minor color in my garden.
Just a small amount of  plant that have blue color.

I think this one is be my beautiful collection.
This plant is a wild plant.
Yes, we can find this plant grow wildly on the roadside, wood, even more a weed on the farmland.

We call it as Pecut Kuda (Stachytarpheta jamaicensis).
This is a member of Verbenaceae.

It grows 1-3 meters on height.
Look mine, the height is more than two meters, so high!

The blue flower never stop blooming all year round.
As a perennial, it's a really lovely flowering plant.
The little blue flower will bloom in the morning and will fallen down into the ground on the afternoon.
Just one day blooming!

Here, this pretty plant is well know as medicine plant too.
The flower, root and leaves are used to treat cough, hepatitis A, rheumatism, malaria, urinary disorder and many more!

Not just for ornamental, but it also for medicinal purpose.
A beautiful and useful plant, isn't it!

A very pretty plant, and I love it!

    1. Pecut means an elastic stick to steer or direct the horse walk. Kuda means horse. You can notice that the flower stalk looks like a stick.
