GROWING SWISS CHARD

I often see beautiful pictures from Swiss chard with the colorful leaves on my blogging friends.
Looks so healthy and easy to be grown.

I think I can grow it on my garden.
So, I ordered a little sachet of Swiss chard seeds to be grown.
I think they will grow well on my terrace garden.
Look the seedling two weeks after sowing.
They look so healthy, and ready to be transplanted.

Never stop trying...
Trying something new is really challenging...
I hope I will be lucky...

    1. I have never cooked them. I saw on youtube that swiss chard was stir fried with chopped garlic and black pepper.

  3. They are a type of beet that is grown for the leaves so they need a lot of sun. They get a lot larger than beets. I chop it up and stir fry it with garlic, ginger and soy sauce but you probably can use them like any other greens that you use, I suspect you will put some of your good peppers with it.

  4. The naughty bunny rabbit ate all my Swiss chard as soon as it began to grow, Endah. I will try again this year, and protect it with row covers. Thanks for the inspiration. P.x

  6. It's always exciting to try something new and different, I'm also always trying to sow difficult things for our climate. The Swiss chard has already a good start, now they have to grow to nice big leaves. Success!
