I have enjoyed the taste and crispy texture.
Now... I'm enjoying the beauty of its flower.
I let a pot of kailan Nova to produce seeds for the next planting.
As background, there are round leaved kailans that I pick the leaves repeatedly.
The little fruits have been forming on the lower side.
Beautiful white flowers look so stunning.
Very beautiful flower. How does it taste? What is it similar too?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day in Indonesia
I have never cooked this flower, but my friend said that this flower tastes plain and great for stir fried with chopped garlic. I think, it almost similar to cabbage or kale.

ReplyDeleteYes, I think so.
DeleteNot a plant I know - do you eat the leaves ?
ReplyDeleteYes, we cook the leaves and fleshy stem.
DeleteThese flowers look very familiar to me, but I cannot trace them, a kind of cabbage or radish?
ReplyDeleteOf course they are familiar to you. They look like cabbage or radish flowers.
DeleteIs that something like Chinese kale?
ReplyDeleteYes, that's right. We call Chinese kale as Kailan.
DeleteAs Salam endah,
ReplyDeleteit looks so beautiful, is it edible?
Salam Ana,
DeleteMy friend said that this flower is edible, but I have never eat it yet. I should try to cook it, but I've planned to save seed from this plant. Hope this plant will produce good seeds.
Bunga kailan tak menjadi benihnya.. semoga bunga kailan menjadi benihnya
ReplyDeleteSemoga buahnya menghasilkan benih yang bagus untuk ditanam lagi.
