MY FIRST MORNING GLORY

This is my first Morning Glory.
Actually, I don't know the name of this variety.
If you know about the name, please tell me.

I sowed two seed on the late of May.
And two weeks later I moved them into bigger pots.
I put them one on the southern balcony, the other one on my porch, near the front door.

I should prepare the support for this vine, but I didn't do that.
The vine is climbing everywhere, so I put a plastic line on the canopy on my balcony as an emergency support.

The Morning Glory vine that I put it on the porch is climbing on the leaves of some plants next to the pot.

I find some flower buds almost everyday.
I'm sure they will greeting us with their sweet color everyday.

And... they will share the 'glory' to everybody who see them.

I still have six seeds of Morning Glory to be sowed next time.
Hope they have different colors.
So... my home garden will more colorful...

  1. Oh how pretty! Lovely bloom for a wonderful gardener :-) I didn't have a good start with morning glory growing from seed. I have sowed a few few months ago. One seed sprouted and later when the rain came pouring, the poor seedling died. I felt really bad after that. Now seeing yours, I am encouraged again to sow some morning glory seeds again when possible. Enjoy the pretty blooms, Enday! You have a great day.

  3. Those are one of the worst weeds that I have, it is so hard to get rid of once it gets into a garden.

    1. Oh...please, for the first time I sowed Moonflower-a varian of scented morning glory, it made me so frustation, but I think the quality of the seeds were not good enough. Now, I'm so happy to see them grow so well

  6. Beautiful, such a pretty colour. I was hoping to grow Morning Glories this year, I had some really strong, healthy seedlings but the slugs gobbled them up the minute I planted them out. I was hoping they'd cover my fence as they have masses of blooms once they get going.

  8. This year I have the normal blue Morning Glory. I think you have a lovely one, I like the beautiful soft pink colour. On first photo I thought it was the white one, we have that too and that´s an awful weed.

    1. You're welcome. Here, there are so many colors of hybrid morning glories, and I want to collect them all, but I think I should prepare an extra space for them all.
Happy gardening and have a nice week!
