JAMBU KANCING MERAH : FIRST HARVEST

What a surprise!
My little Jambu Kancing Merah (Syzygium aqueum) got reddish.
You can see the little fruit on my older post.
I have to wrap them using plastic bags to protect them from fruit flies attack.
The taste is so fresh, sweet and sour, almost similar to strawberry taste.

I have picked five bunches of Jambu last week.
The color was dark red, darker than in these pictures.
I took the pictures a week before they were picked.

My little Jambu tree looked overloaded, cause the little branches had to support a bountiful fruits.
Now, this plant is taking a rest for a moment, and ready to prepare the next flowering period.

  1. Fruit flies are pests that we don't suffer from. Do they attack all fruits?
