FRUITY FRIDAY : JAMBU BIJI GETAS MERAH

Every Friday, we usually do outdoor activities; sports, walking, bicycling, gardening and many more.
Last Friday me with six of my friends went to Seedling Division Department of Forestry and Plantation.

We walked in the nursery and collected some fruits and vegetables there.

Look... the guava trees were so plentiful.
There were a lot of fruits on the trees.
Hanging here and there.

We picked a lot of fruits...
This was Jambu Getas Merah (Red Guava 'Getas').
Look the fruits that we got...

The picture above only a portion of which we quote.

We each took home some guavas.

Look the guavas that I took home...
I shared the guavas with my friend.
I got a fruit supplies for a week.

  1. Do you cook with these or eat them raw?

    1. It's better to eat them raw, so sweet and crispy. Sometime we make guava juice, the juice contains high vitamin A and C, also increase trombosit level in our body. Provide antioxidant and collagen, so... that's very good for our health.

  2. They never arrive here so fresh and healthy! Most be even more delicious, when they are fresh from the tree... Great harvest!

    1. Some factories produce guava juice on tetra pack, but the taste is different with the fresh juice, even the fresh ripe fruits from the tree. The taste of fresh guava juice is much better than the juice on tetra pack. I hope someday you can taste the fresh one. Thanks Sarah. Have a nice day.

    1. Friday is our 'freeday' in my office, we are free from our main chores. We work six days a week, so we obtain our 'freeday' to do something fun and healthy. Take a simple trip to the nursery on Seedling Division is my favorite. I always come home with something interesting.

    1. They love warm temperature and humidity. In highland tropics their growths are so poor.
