A sacred flower for Javanese peoples.
My friend gave me a Magnolia flower bud several days ago.
It was a local variety of Magnolia.
We call it Cempaka Gondok Kuning, Cempaka Kebo or Cempaka telur (Magnolia liliifera).
Telur means egg, cause the flower bud have the same shape and size like as a chicken egg, even bigger.
The aroma is like as Sallaca fruit.
We could enjoy the scent only in the morning time for about two or three hours.

ReplyDeleteThis is a special variety of Magnolia that I have ever seen here. The shape is so globular, and have fruity scent. So different with other varieties here.

DeleteMagnolie to jedne z piękniejszych kwiatów jakie znam ale takiej odmiany jeszcze nie widziałam. Jest cudowna i na pewno pięknie pachnie. Moja magnolia też pomału rozwija kwiaty - wyglądają jak motyle. Niestety u nas zrobiło się zimno i czekam na powrót pięknej pogody. Pozdrawiam cieplutko.
ReplyDeleteIn the middle land or low land tropics, this magnolia will bloom more often than planting on the high land, but the flower only blooms for a short time. This flower has a beautiful scent and sweet fruity fragrant. I hope your weather will warmer soon.
