KARA WEDHUS PUTIH : BLOOMING...

This week I get some clusters of 'kara wedhus putih' (Lablab phurpureus var alba)
The vines look so dense.
The leaves are so green and fresh.
Look the beautiful flowers...

The flowers look so beautiful... so lovely...
I really love it...

I think this patch is to much shady, needs more sun shine.
So, the flowers and the pods don't grow well.

We can find so many beautiful flower clusters on the vines.
It make my garden as a great place for the pollinators.

    1. Kara is an 'old fashion' vegetable. There are two varieties, alba and rubra. But I only have the 'alba' variety. I got the seeds from my neighbor. Actually I have been looking for the purple variety for a long time, the flower is more beautiful than this white one.

    1. Yes, that's right. Both of them look so similar. This flower's stalk is so long more than 30 cm even more. The stalk supports the flower's cluster and looks like a pagoda.

  3. Is it my imagination or do you have lots of white flowered plants?

    1. It's not your imagination. It's real more than 50 percent of my collection are white collored plants. So, we can find white color in my garden here and there.

  5. Lovely! I love white flowered plants, especially because I have a large part of my garden in shade and white plants show up well in shade. Will you have to move it so it gets more sun? If it is a vine it might grow tall and get enough sun later on?

    1. Thanks Helene. My garden is similar with yours. To much shade everywhere. My flowery and fruity plants couldn't grow optimally. I see your garden so colorful with so various flowers. But I grow more vegetables than ornamental vause they can grow well although live in the shady area. I won't to move the vines, cause they are very dense. Too much risk to move them to other place. But the point is... no space anymore! LOL... Actually I have prepared a trellis for this vines, but they grow rapidly, so... I should tidy up the vines every week. I can't wait till my tiny garden become a little jungle...
