THE CORNER OF BACKYARD

This is our backyard this week.

The northern corner have been getting more sun shine since two months ago.

Especially after we cut down the papaya tree.

A row of tomatoes on cooking oil pouches.

Five big pots, there are tomatoes, hydrangea, long pepper and asparagus.

A neglected Anthurium in the edge of the bed, side by side next to the dwarf white pepper.
Daun mangkokan (Nothopanax scutellarium), cassava, green amaranth are growing jostling here.

They looks much better than before...

WHITE PEPPER PROGRESS

This is our mrica/lada or dwarf white pepper patch.

I moved five pots of white peppers from the cap of the compost bin into the cap of the well about two weeks ago.

These plants are getting more sun shine here.

This plant actually loves part shady area.

It might too much sun here.

Look... lots of little pepper here.

We can also find some of red ripen fruits.

They are ready to be picked, and processed into dried black pepper.

A NEW BED OF RED CABBAGE

This is our new red cabbage patch in our western backyard.

I moved the cabbage in to the ground cause the pots were too small.

The red cabbage 'Scarlet' were grown on the terrace garden before.

We can see the row of cabbage before here.

Newest raised bed is for this lovely vegetable.

They looks grow well in their new place. 

Hoping they will grow better here.

CHERRY TOMATO : TOUCHING THE ROOF

This is the only one red cherry tomato remain in our back yard.

Actually it grew here and there, collapsed...

So I use plastic rope to keep the plant safe.

Finally, we can see this plant is touching the roof.

So many bunches of tomato are hanging on the plant.

Love to see the fresh fruits...

EXPLORING KENIKIR (Cosmos caudatus)

THE NEW RAISED BED IS READY...

This is our newest raised bed this week.

Actually this is an old raised bed, but looks so poor before.

The soil was so tough.

Lots of shade here, limited sunshine.

After our neighbor trimed some Durian trees 'above' our backyard and we cut down the papaya tree, this space get bountiful sunshine.

I think it's a great place for growing vegetables.

This was the raised bed in September.

This was in the early of December.

And this was one the raised bed last week.

The edge of the bed needed to be fixed after it broken caused by the papaya tree fell on to this raised bed.

This is the new scene of the space this week.

The raised bed have already fixed.

The soil was ready to be planted on.

Look... my garden helper did weeding on the mixed raised bed.

New space, new growing season....

WEED OR VOLUNTEER....

This is our new raised bed in the back yard.he

Finally, we cut the very high papaya tree between the raised beds.

I think the raised beds get better sunshine right now.

We use 100% of homegrown compost from the compost bin on the end of the bed.

The bed is full of self seedling plants.

Both of crops and weed are growing so lush here.

All  volunteer came from the compost heap that we use.

Lots of papaya seedling and also amaranths.

So many tomato seedlings.... 

I don't know about the variety.

I have no idea...
It's cucumber or melon/cantaloupe seedling.

The seedlings of Jagung jali (Coix lacryma) as an old fashion cereal, are growing like crazy here.

Some hot pepper seedlings are growing here and there.

The little Caladium are popping 

I think I have to tidy up this patch.

It may I have to choose which plants should be pulled out, transplanted or harvested.
