ANNOYING CATERPILLAR ON STRAWBERRY PATCH

This is our strawberry patch this week.

Looks healthy on the northern part, but looks so poor on the southern part.

Some plants are loose leaves.

Hmmm so annoying...

I'm finding some flurry caterpillar on some pots.

Really annoying...

Oh please...

LEAFY PATCH ON AUGUST

This  month we're having green patch in our back yard.
We plot a raised bed and we planted so many leafy vegetables here, mostly from brassica family.

We haven't finish planting yet, there's some empty space here.
There're Sawi Jepang, Caisim, Mustard green, Sawi keriting, Cauliflower, Katu (Saorophus androgenus) and papaya.

I put the Katu and papaya next to the wall, on the edge of the bed.
Then three sawi jepang which grow so healthy.
The next row, a bit poor of Caisim, and mustard green.

Grasshopers and crickets chewed the leaves.
Look... lots of holes there...

I think there's little caterpillar too...
The row of sawi keriting is the worst one.

I have no idea to minimize the damage, I think I should pull out the plants then move it into the compost bin or spraying the plants.

BROCCOLI : THE RUINS

This season is not a lucky time for my broccoli.

Look... there's no healthy plant remain.
We only find 'the ruin'...

The snails ate the leaves so greedily.

When no leaves left, they ate the shoots then the stem.
They were so annoying...

Now, I have to start the new life... sowing the seeds on the new batch.

ANOTHER SNAIL ON OUR GARDEN

Lots of bug this season.
Another snail from our tiny garden.

These little snails are so annoying.
So small, and usually hidden under the fallen leaves.

They chew our little seedlings.
Although they are so tiny, but they are so greedy.
Ohhh... please...

STAR FRUIT : TOO LATE...

When I was  noticing our star fruit tree, I found some black spots on the fruits.
I think these fruits were infected by fruit flies.
Oh please....

Lots of fruits were infected!
I was too late..., I should wrap the fruits earlier.

Look... almost of the fruits that hanging on the tree have infected.

Fail...fail...

Ahhh... I still have a star fruit that I've wrapped two months ago.
I think this fruit is safe...
It looks no spots here.
I hope...

CABE CEREMAI : FRUITING AGAIN

Most of my ornamental chilli-pepper collection were already died, cause of the aphids and white fly attack.
Actually, so many efforts that I have done didn't give good result.
I let some of the survivor without special handling.
Now, we can see one of the survivor on my balcony showing me its fruits.

Although the plant is not so healthy, but some fruits are hanging on the branches.

Some light green peppers look so fresh...

I can find the red one too...

But some bugs have been coming and staying there.

I guess it's kind of aphids.
I have to cut the infected leaves and spray the plant with soapy water soon, before the bug kill my lovely collection.

Hoping my effort will give good result...

THE ROLLER...

This variegated Mondokaki (Tabernaemontana corymbosa) is seem not so dense as usual.
I didn't notice this plant for several time.

My husband said that there were lot of caterpillars there.
They rolled the leaves and eat it.
So... the leaves are less than before.

Then I cut the branches to remove the unhealthy leaves.
I found caterpillar inside the rolled leaves.

Semi hard pruning to recover the plant is a must.
I hope this plant will be recovered soon.
And I can see the beautiful foliage and flower again.

WRINKLED BASIL

I'm growing four varieties of basil on my garden.
Although this plant is an easy growing plant, but I often find bugs and disease that attack this plant.

Wrinkled or curly leaves is the most.
Some time I find black ants on these wrinkled leaves.

I think it's not deadly, but make the growth is not optimal.
I have no idea how to control this problem.

Reader, have you ever find this problem in your garden?
Please sharing me how to control this problem.
Thank you for sharing.

LITTLE - TUBBY GREEN MONSTER

Oh please....
What's going on with my garden ...
So many bugs make 'disaster'.

Look ... this little Jeruk Nipis (Citrus hystrix) tree is loose-leaf now.
Several days ago I found a green tubby caterpillar on the twig, and the only five healthy leaves remain.

I thought that there was only one caterpillar there, but yesterday morning I found a caterpillar again.

And there was no leaf remain.

They're real little monsters...
