OUR LIME ON THE PORCH

This is our 'jeruk sambal' or aromatic line on the porch.

Some fruits are hanging on the little tree.

The juice is mostly used on 'sambal' a traditional ground chili sauce.

Sometimes it used for infused water.

So fresh and juicy...

Fresh aroma...

Although the taste is sour...

SHORT COURSE ON OPTIMIZING HOME GARDEN : PART 5

This place was a main suplier of citrus on the past.
Long time ago, we could find lots of citrus plant on the farm land and also home garden.
The citrus  from this area had a premium quality, taste good.
The disease 'CVPD'  caused a big disaster on the citrus orchard there.

And for a long time, farmer or gardener didn't grow citrus there, too much risk.

About five year ago, people started to grow citrus on this area, and it looks do so well.

We can find so bountiful citrus on the little tree, growing so healthy and productive.

I guess the disaster had over.
That kind of virus may be have disappear, or the new varieties of citrus that they grow there are resistant on this disease.

Love to see hundred of citrus were hanging on the little tree.

Look... a bountiful citrus among the hot chili.

I can't wait to see these fruits get ripen...

FRUITING CITRUS TREE

Five pot plants on our southern balcony looks so poor.

We often forget to do watering during this rainy season.
Actually the rain drops would never 'touch' them, they got drought.
Oh please...

But look... the little citrus tree is showing us tree yellowish fruit that hanging on the very slim branches.

You can check the flowering little citrus tree here.

From hundreds flowers and little fruits only tree fruit remain, and I think only need a few time to get ripe enough.

I'm so sorry... this is a neglected space...
So the plants are also neglected, but they still give us  so many happiness.

The white bugs are covering the branches, I think I should do something to keep the fruits safe.

FRUITY FRIDAY : LEMON

Look.... our lemon tree is so lovely!
It's producing a bountiful lemons on a little tree.

The little tree looks overloaded.

Some bunches of fruits are touching the ground.

Last Sunday we harvested more than two kilograms of lemon.
We use lemon to make infused water and also lemonade.

We also share the lemons with our friends and also neighbors.
And this week, we harvested about one kilogram of lemon.

Although the shape and the color are not so perfect, but the taste is good enough.
And of course the benefit for our health.

Some fruits have cracked, caused by an extreme weather changes, from very dry weather into very wet weather.
The little tree is covering the azalea.

And there's a tubby visitor....

Thanks GOD...

CITRUS FRAGRANCE IN MY TERRACE GARDEN

When I was tidying up my terrace garden several days ago, I found a special fragrance, so fresh and aromatic.
Hmmm... it must be a citrus flower blossom.
That's right...

A hidden little citrus tree that full of white blossom.

I grow that citrus tree in a pot under the vertical rack display.

Then I moved the pot into a wider place.

Lots of flower buds and little fruits too.

I've forgotten about this little tree, I think it's a kind of orange, but I'm not sure.

I have to wait until the fruit ripen, so I may know about the variety.

Hope the flowers will grow into healthy fruits next.
This dry season is so hard time to my fruit trees.
Dry and heat hot weather make lots of blossom are wilted and fallen soon.
Lots of hopes...
No fallen flowers...
