SUN FLOWER : THAT'S REAL

Finally, I can enjoy the beauty of my home grown  sun flower.

Last year, I got two sun flower plants for free when we purchased roses and chrysantemum.

These were the mother plants.

They grew well and produced lots of seeds.

All fresh seeds had sprouted well.
But white flies and drought destroyed almost of them.
And they left me a sun flower plant in my raised bed.

The sun flower plant in August....

And this was in September...

So beautiful...

Although we only have one plant, but we're really happy.

Enjoy the beautiful flowers and color.

Hoping we can harvest the fresh seeds for the next season.

Thanks GOD.

FLOWERFUL WEEKEND

We had a long weekend last week.
So that was a great time to visit my father.
As usual, we visited a nursery  on the way home from our father house.
There are so many nurseries along the road side.
They made me crazy.
Lots of beautiful plants there.
I have to keep my mind... all that they displayed really make me crazy.
So interesting, so beautiful...
Then  went home with five rose plants, six chrysanthemum, a dahlia and we got bonus two sun flower plants.
One day later, my son helped me on planting these beautiful plants.
He was really enthusiastic on growing and purchasing plants.
Thanks boy... Hoping all will grow happy and healthy.

FIRST SUN ON OUR HOME GARDEN

Something from our home garden that's making me so happy during my busy and tiring weeks...
Sunflower...
Yes, I really love sun flower, but I've always failed on growing this beautiful plant.
I don't know how many times I've sowed the seeds.
Some of them failed on germination period, it might caused by the quality of the seeds.
Some others germinated successfully, but died on seedling period.
On August, I sowed four varieties of sunflower; Sunburst, Little Leo, Single Giant and local variety.
I only sowed two seeds each, expect the local variety I sowed ten seeds.
All germinated successfully, but snail have eaten the seedlings just on a night.
I was really disappointed...
The only one survivor was looked so poor at that time, then I moved it on a better place, far from the destroyer.
Yes, our front garden is the better place, more sunshine and wider.
It grows so nice (although it may not so perfect).
I feels so blessed...
Please enjoy the beauty...

This was the flower bud five days ago.

And this was the half opened blossom, two days ago.

So cute...

Sharing space with zinnias and sweet basil on a big pot.

This is my Sunburst today...

Enjoying all detail...

Enjoying its growth...

Enjoying the beauty...
Thanks GOD...
