TIDYING UP THE HEDGE AND COOKING SOME

This was a view of our front yard several days ago.
Look... the hedge is so dense... or ... so messy!
It must be disorderly...
The hedge was up to 1.5 meter, so high... (it was almost as tall as my body...LOL).

Actually it was too late to be tidied up.
The cassava plants on the end of the hedge looks so thrive.
So fresh...

Then we cooked it the young and tender leaves, and make a green curry from these greens.
So delicious and spicy...
An edible hedge...

KARA BENGUK : FIRST HARVEST

Finally I get some dried beans from my Kara Benguk or velvet bean vines.
The skin is deep black and there's no green tone.
The skin is a bit wrinkled and slimmer.
You can check the fresh young beans here.

Dried skin looks like a shell, so strong and tough.
I have to use sear to open the shell and put the seeds.

These are the cute seeds...

Looks like bird eggs.

First harvest from this vine, and I still have lots of beans on the vines to be harvested next.
Thanks GOD...

PINK HIBISCUS IS BLOOMING

This is a great sight  from our kitchen window this morning.

I'm finding a striking color, pink...

Lots of sunshine...

Enjoying the beauty from the kitchen.

A simple flower from the country side in our backyard.

Lots of flower buds, I hope next I will find lots of flowers...

Thanks GOD...

Miss this flower so much...

Platycodon grandiflorus or balloon flower...

Mine have rotten and died...

I've been searching this plant from two years ago, since this lovely plant died.
Hoping we will find it soon.

We miss the blue color in our balcony...

A REAL LONG RED CAT TAIL

This is my red Cat tail (Acalypha hispida) today.

Finally I find a very long cat tail.
This is a plant from my childhood.
Actually this is the second long tail that I found.
You can see the first one here, but when it turned long, I forgot to take any pictures.

Two short tails near the shoot.

It's really long, I guess it will grow longer.
There are two kind of flower I think.

I think this one is the male flower.

And this one is the female flower.

Some black ants are hiding on the long flower.
There're white bugs on the stalk too.
I should remove them soon, before they make any damages on my lovely plant.

FIRST WHITE PEPPER...

These are our dwarf white peppers (Piper nigrum) on our backyard.
A bit neglected...

Look... some fallen leaves are covering the the soil.

Some flower stalks have changed into fruit stalks.
Some flower stalks have fallen during the rainy days.
Just simple handling....

It might not be perfect fruits.

But I'm so happy, cause they are our first peppers on our tiny garden.

I hope they will grow well and produce ripen fruits.
No bugs and no damages...

STAR FRUIT : TOO LATE...

When I was  noticing our star fruit tree, I found some black spots on the fruits.
I think these fruits were infected by fruit flies.
Oh please....

Lots of fruits were infected!
I was too late..., I should wrap the fruits earlier.

Look... almost of the fruits that hanging on the tree have infected.

Fail...fail...

Ahhh... I still have a star fruit that I've wrapped two months ago.
I think this fruit is safe...
It looks no spots here.
I hope...

PHILODENDRON LEMON LIME

This is one of our foliage collections.
Philodendron Lemon Lime...

Very fresh color...

I took some shoots when I was tidying up my foliage patch on the backyard.
Growing indoor on the water is a simple way on gardening.

Please enjoy the beauty.
