GROWING OYSTER MUSHROOM IN THE KITCHEN.

Our family is a mushroom lover.
So... that's a good idea for growing our own mushroom.
Oyster mushroom is one of our favorite mushroom.
Last week we started our home grown mushroom in our kitchen near our sink, too keep them on the better micro climate.
Fairly good humidity...
Lets check the progress...
We grew mushroom for several times, mostly oyster mushroom.
We can check here and here.
But some times we found natural wild edible mushroom in our garden too, we can check here.

EXPLORING MUSHROOM

On Sunday I found a huge mushroom on the compost heap in our backyard.
Wow ... so big...

It seem like a Termitomyces... an edible mushroom that live symbiotic with a kind of termite.

This mushroom was growing on the decomposed paper.

Mostly it's found on the ruin of wooden material on the soil that rich of organic material, especially wood.

The spore have already mature...

It stuck strongly on the pile of decomposed paper.

Look... we still found some piece of paper on its root.
So exciting...

Thanks GOD for this special thing in our tiny garden.

MUSHROOM IN THE WILD LIFE

Finding an interesting thing on the way home from my mother's grave.
That grave is surrounded by a little wood with lots of wild coffee plants and bamboo clumps.

Yeah... so may wild mushroom were growing beautifully on the the old tree base.

Growing together with moss and self growing coffee seedlings.

They looks growing so happy there on the cool and humid place.

Enjoying the beauty of the wildlife...

I'm not sure they were edible.

Thanks GOD...

HARVESTING BLACK MUSHROOM

Here they are my black mushroom or 'Jamur Kuping'.
I bought it on the expo about three weeks ago.
I put them near the sink on my kitchen.
You can see the mushroom when they came in to my 'kitchen garden' at the first time here.
I harvested the first mushroom a week after I bought it, but the yield was not good enough.
The growth of this mushroom is much slower than my oyster mushroom.

Look my bag logs now... the mushrooms look so healthy on my kitchen.

They are ready to be harvested soon.

I think they will be a great dish.
Can't wait for it...

GROWING BLACK MUSHROOM

Again....gardening on the kitchen.
Yes, last week I bought three baglogs of 'jamur kuping hitam' or black mushroom on the Agro Expo.
Now, they are grown on my kitchen, beside the sink area.
In this area, the humidity is much higher than on other parts on my house.
They just need a little bit sprinkle of water twice a day.
This mushroom has a great taste.
So delicious for soup and other dishes.
I think next three days I can pick the mushroom for the first time.
Delicious soup will ready to be served soon...

MUSHROOM : I FOUND THE BIGGEST

Lets peek my 'kitchen garden'....
Yeah... gardening on the kitchen..., on the sink area.
The bag logs of Oyster mushroom or Jamur Tiram are still there.
This morning  one of my six mushroom's bag logs is looking so special.
I'm finding a very big mushroom on it.
This one is the biggest that I have ever harvested before.
My son is really interested.
He is very happy with his harvest today.
May be next, I will find the bigger...
So... this one won't be the biggest any more.
I hope...
