MUSHROOM'S TIME

Yesterday afternoon, when I was checking my orchid's patch, I found something that very very interesting.
There were white mushrooms on the ground here and there.

One ... two... three...
Wow... we got sixteen mushrooms!

On the windy, warm and humid weather, we usually find edible mushroom on my garden.
We call it 'Jamur barat' or 'jamur wulan'.
This mushroom usually appears during the windy weather when the seasons are changing.

We revoked the mushroom from the ground.
My son was really happy, he had a new experience.
Run here and there, and took the mushrooms.

This mushroom always remind me to my childhood.
We used to take the edible mushrooms under the coffee trees on my parent's garden.

Then I washed the mushroom, and ready to cook.
It should be a delicious dishes.

    1. We usually make 'pepes' or stir fry. Pepes is a traditional steaming process. We wrap the mushrooms using banana leaves.

  4. Mushrooms are so good but my wife and daughter won't eat them so they are a rare thing for me. You are lucky to have edible ones right at your house.

    1. I cooked the mushrooms this morning, my daughter really loved it. She said that this mushroom was the most delicious mushroom that she have ever eaten. She want to eat more often, but this mushroom is not sold in the market or groceries. We have to wait for the next luck, maybe next season.

  9. Dearest Endah,
You are brave for daring to eat them, without knowing what variety they actually are!
My husband Pieter would always teach his students or at a congress when asked the question: 'Can you eat this one?' - His famous reply was: 'You can eat them all but a few only ones...!'
Every year several people fall victim to the consumption of poisonous mushrooms...
    Hugs,
    Mariette
