I have no expectation to this orchid.
This Dendrobium is my old collection.
The last blossom was five years ago.
Actually, I have forgotten that I collected this orchid in my garden.
Three weeks ago, when I was tidying up my back yard, I found a spike with three flower buds on it.
I found the verticulture rack that full of poor orchids.
This is the buds in March 21.
Two days ago, March 23.
I hope this orchid will bloom longer, and safe from the rain and wind.
Oh to grow orchids! Beautiful, Endah! Linda@Wetcreek Blog
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning, what a beautiful surprise. How lovely to be able to grow orchids outside. I love your verticulture rack, a really pretty way to display things.
ReplyDeleteA forgotten collection. My husband bought it about six years ago. This orchid had a good performance at the early first year, than the growth got stagnancy. This orchid escaped my notice. That's my oldest verticulture rack, more than twelve years old. Thsnk you for stopping by.
DeleteWhat a surprise after 5 years.
ReplyDeleteYes, absolutely a surprise. A forgotten beauty. I have no idea about this orchid. Look, the clump is not good enough, but the flower is so beautiful. Thanks God.
DeleteMaybe I need to tr forgetting mine and maybe they will flower.
ReplyDeleteYes, maybe... and you will get a surprise.
DeleteWow, it's truly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa.
DeleteLovely Dendrobium flowers!
ReplyDeleteI have a Dendrobium kingianum – it has never flowered, not sure why but I think it isn’t enough light in my kitchen for it, and possibly not warm enough. I can’t do anything about either of these things so I just enjoy its green leaves. It looks healthy enough, it just doesn’t flower.
Dendrobium is a sunshine lover. This orchid like warm place, evenly grows so well on the heat place. I put most of my Dendrobiums on the wall, to get more sunshine also warmer temperature. Maybe you can take your orchid out on the warm day to stimulate the flowering period
DeleteI never planted Orchid before! But I love looking at them! You really have green thumb with them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Malar. I think you can try to grow it in your garden
DeleteVery pretty, Endah! I hope my dendrobium will rebloom soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie. I hope so, yours look so beautiful.
DeleteI never had one that blooms again. I think the climate is not right in Brittany. Yours has a beautiful colour and the shape of orchids is always so amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Magali. To make our orchids rebloom again is not easy, they need a good microclimate. I think I just a lucky gardener
