TERRACE GARDEN UPDATE : EARLY JULY 2016

Lots of progress on our terrace garden on the early of July.
This was a view from the eastern balcony.

The same spot was taken from the west side.

A row of cauliflowers, mints, eggplant and bunga ekor kucing.
Red flowered Ekor Kucing (Acalypha hispida pendula).
The flower dangling on the wall, so lovely...

Local green chili or cabe rawit looks so promising.

New strawberry patch under the row of okra on the middle of the garden.

Northern rack with mustard green, green onion, red amaranth, red okra, cabbage and also edible weed.

Red and striped amaranth

Legetang, a tasty aromatic edible weed.

Southern rack on the first week of July...

Now... all have changed...
We are still having rain this month, although it must be in dry season
We can see the little change here
Growing healthy and so happy...
Happy July...

RED CABBAGE PATCH THIS WEEK

These are pictures from our red cabbage patch on our terrace garden.

The row of Brassica on the southern rack.

They looks so healthy...

Makes me so happy.

Beautiful sunny morning, so the leaves looks so sparkling.

Such a beautiful foliage...

What a shame... I found a rotten cabbage on the end of the row.

I don't know why...

Hoping the rest plant will safe...

HARVESTING KECIPIR

Our winged bean or kecipir is growing so happy on our backyard.
Lots of flowers and little beans.

Last week we had a volunteer, yeah... my niece stay for several days in our house.
She likes climbing, so she helped us to pick the beans that climb on the high wall.
Thanks girl...

Look... these that we got...

The vine looks so lush and the bean are hanging here and there.

The fresh young beans are great to be steamed or stir fried.

Some dry-ripe beans are ready for the seeds.

ADDITIONAL SEEDLING PATCH

Such an amateur gardener with a tiny garden, and very limited space for gardening.
Our balcony is a great place for gardening.

As part shady area, this place is good as seedling patch.

I use the 'empty' space under the 'sawi kriting' as a seedling patch.

And the floor is full of seedling trays.

Optimizing all space...

A ROW OF CAULIFLOWER ON TERRACE GARDEN

This is our cauliflower patch this season.
Actually lots of seeds that I have sowed, but only six plants remain.

Looks so poor at the first, but become healthy later.
The leaves looks so fresh...

It makes me so happy.

I can't wait to see the curd of cauliflower.

I like enjoying the 'pearls' on the edge of the leaves at the morning.
Love  to see this little patch...

LITTLE HOUSE IN THE RICE FIELD (JULY 2016)

Last week we had a vacation, so we had time to visit our big family and also relatives.
You might be still remember with a little house in the rice field.
Yes... that's  our granny's house.
What a shame, I forgot to take any pictures of it.

The rice field looked green.
Some of the field was  after the harvesting time.

And the other was on seedling stage...

On the other part we can find the corn fields on so many stage of growth.
Multiple cropping was applied here.

We can find so many annual plants such as chilli pepper, caladium, colocasia, corn and cassava. 
Some perennial plant that grown here were banana, a kind of mango and jackfruit.

Corn was the main crop here at this time.
Walk a long the path way through the corn field.

The little pond in front of the farmhouse was still clear and fresh with the spring water.
But the pond became narrower, the edge of the pond was full of sediment.
And the weed and the other wild plants were growing so lush here.

We still found a row of roses in front of her garden.
Some roses were in blooming.

Thanks GOD for the green sight.

ENJOYING EGGPLANT FLOWERS

This is the only one eggplant on our terrace garden.
The real survivor.
It seem grows so poor.
I put four little pots of pepper seedling under this plant.

Just optimizing the tiny space.

Whatever, this plant is emerging lots of pretty bloom.

So lovely...

I really like the simple flower...

Especially the soft cute color...
