OUR CAULIFLOWER PATCH THIS MORNING

STRAWBERRY PATCH THIS WEEK

This is our new strawberry patch on the center of our terrace garden.

I put some little plants on the asparagus pot.

Under asparagus plant

There are some white flowers and little strawberries.
So lovely...

Hidden fresh fruits

Yummy...

Rotten...

Morning dew...

Beautiful flower...

Not a perfect shapes...

NEW COMER : KARA PEDANG MERAH

This is a new comer of bean in our garden.
Kara pedang merah or red sword bean (Canavalia gladiata).

It grew so slowly at the first, so poor.
But after I added more compost, it grows so lush.

I surprised when the pinkish flower and long flat bean were emerging.
This is the climbing variety.

So interesting...

The pinkish flower is so beautiful!

As long as I know, the young tender pod is great to be stir fried and cooked as soup.

Not all of the flower changes into fresh pod.
I don't know why....

PEELING THE 'KARA BENGUK' SHELL...

Several days ago, when I was tidying up our kitchen, I found a  little pail of dried kara benguk.
I think it comes from last year harvest.

The bean still in the tough shell.

A neglected harvest.

Then I peeled the shell, and got a big bowl of seeds.

FINDING INTERESTING PEPPER... AGAIN!

Several weeks ago I found a cute tubby pepper on the corner of our terrace garden.

I think it's a common local pepper at the first, but when the fruits have already emerged.  

Cute peppers are showing.

Now we can find colorful peppers on the healthy plant stand on the short wall.

What a shame several days ago, there was an accident, this pot fallen down on to the garage roof.

I think there was a unknown visitor hit this pot.

I'm lucky that the plant only slightly damaged. 

Only some litlte branches were broken.

But I lost it name tag, cause the soil have spilled onto the roof of our garage.

I have been searching the name tag, but haven't find it yet.

I hope I can find it soon, so I will know the ID soon...

Now... lets enjoy the beauty of our ornamental pepper. 

HARVESTING OKRA SEEDS

Our okra patches will finish their productive period, I think.
The production have declined.
But we still pick some okra from these patches.
I leave some healthy dry ripen okras for the seeds.

I picked two dried green okras and five dried red okras from these patches.

Then I removed the dry skin to take the seeds.

So I have lots of seeds for the next growing season.

STARTING THE GREEN WALL

Our grey wall in the backyard is becoming greener.

Pare or bitter gourd, kara kerupuk, chayote and also kara benguk are growing so lush.

They are covering the wall with their green leaves.

A self sown bitter gourd growing near the compost bin, climb on a plastic rope.

Side by side with bitter gourd vine, there're three self sown Kara Benguk (Mucuna pruriens).

Kara benguk is a kind of an wild bean, that grows very invasive.

Actually I won't to grow it in my garden anymore cause its invasive growth, it's mot suitable in my tiny garden.

On the southern side, there are chayote and also Kara kerupuk that climb so lush.

In the next two weeks, our grey wall will turn green and so dense.
