The only pare or bitter gourd that's growing so healthy this season.
It's growing so high, touching the transparent roof in the backyard.
Yesterday, I checked the roof from the drying area.
And we found a lush vine lying on edge of the roof.
When I 'opened' the vine using a bamboo stalk, I found two over ripened bitter gourd on it.
There were several gourds that ready to be harvested, and the little young gourds were hanging on the vine.
The gourd looks bigger than usual, I think here they get better humidity and sunshine.
Then I picked five gourds from this vine.
Thanks GOD...
Beautiful are your plants.

Thank you, Lucia!
DeleteI wonder how these bitter gourds taste, the plant is huge.
ReplyDeleteThey are bitter, but when they are crushed in salt, the bitterness will be reduced. They are so tasty
DeleteWow, that's a healthy vining plant! Congratulations. And the gourds are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beth!
DeleteThat's good surprise from the roof! So you're going to save the seeds?
ReplyDeleteYes, I always save the seeds for the next season.
