OUR GINGER PATCH THIS WEEK

This is a little mess in our eastern backyard this current week.
The patch is not as tidy as several weeks ago.
You can see the tidiest patch here.

This patch is much greener than before.

We can see the Ginger plants growing healthy.

It needs long time to get mature ginger.

Be patient please...

  2. Wow, so many ginger plants ! I use ginger only for tea and sweets, it's not something I would grow in my garden, but maybe I should try.

  3. I've not grown ginger before. I'm not sure that it can grow here.

  5. You have so many healthy growing gingerplants. I tried once ginger growing in my greenhouse, it went all well until we got a very cold winter, of course they died before we could harvest ginger. I sometimes buy a piece of gingerroot to make tea, tastes so good with lemon.

    1. Yes, Janneke. Too cold weather will make the ginger root becomes dry and dormant.

  7. Wow! I like your ginger plants. My turmeric though has lots of bulbs, the tips of the leaves are often brown.

    1. Thanks, Malar. That's buncis or green bean that's growing on the trellis.
