RADISH : FLOWERING AGAIN

Bolting... again...
Yes, I think I have to learn more and more about growing lobak or daikon (white long radish).
After I found two pots of daikon that get bolting.
Now, I'm finding another bolting plant again.
But the flower look so cute.
The purple color is so beautiful.
I'm not sure it has the same variety to my first bolting plants or not, cause the flower is a bit different.

By the way, I still have two pots of daikon that grow so well, and there's no sign of bolting.
I hope I can get the fresh tubby roots soon.

  1. We've tried growing radish in pots this year instead of open ground and it has been hopeless.. All top and no root.

    1. Really? I think on your climate, this plant will grow and produce so well.

  2. Mine is in the garden and has had a lot of bolting for some reason. I may pick some of the leaves to cook as greens.

  3. The flowers of the daikon is so pretty! I have some daikon growing in my garden pot too, with small daikon already showing.
I hope that you will have daikon to harvest soon from your other two pots.

  4. I'm not sure I've seen a Daikon Radish bloom before--how sweet and lovely! Sigh. It's pretty enough to grow as a potted plant and not just an edible. The buds remind me of Fuchsia seedheads. Thanks for posting about this!
