POMEGRANATE : FIRST FRUIT WAS CRACKED

This was my first fruit from our Delima or pomegranate bush.

I just picked when it looked cracked.
I think it caused by the extreme changes of weather  several weeks ago.

I was not sure, it have already ripe yet.

Then I checked the fruit, it looked black and dried on the cracked area.

The seeds were still tough.

The taste was a bit sour.
Actually, I have to be patient to get the real ripe fruit next.

  4. Pomegranates ... yum! I've been eating more of them and the juice, too, for the health benefits. Hopefully your next fruits will be healthy and tasty. :)

  5. Nice to grow your own pomegranates, hope the other fruits ripe well. We cannot grow them here, but my husband favorite drink is pomegranate juice, healthy and they sell it in our village shop.

  6. Pomegranates crack like this when the weather is rainy after the hot season or they are whatered uneven. You can't stop the rain ... unfortunatelly.
