GREEN ROOF...

During this rainy season, my passion fruit vines have been growing so fast, so thrives.
I should keep the vine tidy and beautiful seen.
Of course always keep on the high productivity.

The vine have expanded on to the garage roof also upper window.
This is the view from my balcony.
The vine have grown into a dense bush.

The garage roof is almost covered by the vine.
I have a green gate, also a green roof forward.
Green wall... no...

I have ever thought to discard the vine that laying on the roof.
It's not easy for me to clean the old leaves or to collect the ripen fruits.
I should do all gardening work from my balcony.
Reader... What do you think about that?

  1. Will the weight of the vine damage the roof?

    1. I think, the weight of the vine is fairy safe for the roof. But maybe the problem is the debris from the vine will stay on the roof.

  2. It seems a shame to have to cut down a good source of fruit. I'd prune it back at the end of the fruiting season and train the new growth up an adjacent wall where it would be easier to pick. I think it looks rather gorgeous - all that greenery outside your window!

    1. That's right. I should do trimming to keep them on a good performance, no cutting down. This vine bears the fruits all year round and we collect the fallen fruits every day. Thank you for stopping by Caro.

  4. The way that vine grows, trimming it back some probably won't hurt it, maybe it can grow in another direction.

  5. Very healthy and nice liana, Endah!
I think you let it grow as it wants and you could collect fruit standing on the garage roof.
    Have a nice day!

    1. Thank you Nadezda! Actually in our humid climate, to keep them stay on my garden, I should do more maintenance to this vine. Have a wonderful week!

  6. I should like to let it grow but that´s not wise, you better trim it back and lead it in a different direction otherwise you get a terrible mess at the roof.
