I have made some simple raised beds started from 2010.
Then in 2011 I made better raised beds using bricks as the edges.
On 2012 after house's reconstruction, I made permanent raised beds using waste materials from the reconstruction.
So we have better beds also pathway.
The gravel pathway is really work to control weeds on this pathway.

Actually nothing special with my raised beds.
I do often get some problem on my raised bed, especially I have four kitties that they are really love to play all day long.
They are usually playing, running, jumping, rolling and many more on my raised beds.
So... my little plants usually broken and then died.
A messy garden...

I want to make every pieces of our land become more productive.
Reader, do have you any idea?
It already looks like a very productive area. Could you raise the beds higher to ttry and persuade your cats to stay off
ReplyDeleteSounds so interesting idea. I would love to try it. Thsnks, Sue.
DeleteHave you tried a tiered raise bed . It is kinda like tables stacked on top of each other.. You leave a little space between each box going up so you can plant the whole box. It worked great.
ReplyDeleteWow that's a great idea! It looks like a vertical gardening using a vertical wide box I think. Thanks Michelle!
DeleteHanging pots and other containers from unused vertical walls/fences etc might help.
ReplyDeleteThat's so interesting! A great idea! Thank you, Rooko.
DeleteLove all the ideas ~ l believe the one where you build vertical raise beds going small with each one as you place them on each other will work great for you. Course leaving enough spaces around the edges to plant your garden.
