TERRACE GARDEN UPDATE - OCTOBER

This is the newest condition of my terrace garden.
The weather made me reduce the variety of vegetables that I should plant.
The concrete deck made the temperature on this garden hotter and drier than the conditions surrounding.
Mouse and caterpillars attack really destroyed.
Only 25 variety of vegetables that I could plant here right now.
Here they are...

  1. You have a great vegetable garden. To think that plants need so little space. They are very robust. Congratulations :)

    1. Thank you. Maybe I will do a different type of gardening if I have a wide space.

  2. You certainly have plenty there. Is the caisin like pak choi?

    1. Yes, caisin is almost similar with pak choi, but the stalk is thinner and smaller.

  3. You have beautiful plants, I can tell that they have been well taken care of. Maybe the ones that are being attacked could be put under a tent area made with something like mosquito netting, I am just thinking out loud as I have considered something like that for my squash that are attacked so bad.

    1. My husband had proposed to put up para net on it. But I think it would make my little garden became narrower.

  4. Your plants look to be thriving. Do you grow everything in containers?

    1. I planted all of my vegetables on this terrace in containers. I also made some little beds on my small backyard. This is my way to cope my limited land.

    1. Welcome Lucia. Maybe I wouldn't make a terrace garden if I have my own wide yard. Thank you for coming by.

  7. Amazing how many containers with vegetables you have. Good idea when you have limited space. I also grow lettuces and basil in containers, but that is finished by now, soon it will be too cold for growing vegetables outside, so we have to wait for spring. Your plants look all so fresh and healthy. I do not know the Northern Rack, it looks like a kind of cabbage.
    Regards, Janneke
