This is the only one survivor of my Gomphrena (Gomphrena globosa) plot.
On the last of September I took some Gomphrena and Cosmos seeds from a country roadside.
Then I sowed it on the east raised bed near my bedroom.
The Cosmos grew rapidly, but the Gomphrena looked so poor.
Maybe the seeds were immature.
So, I only found a little plant remain on the bed.
Then I moved it into a big pot together with my citrus.
Now... the little plant is giving me a striking color in my eastern back yard.
Here, this flower is called Kembang Wudel or Bunga Pentol Korek.
A simple plant, with its simple flower...
Please enjoy the beauty...
It's a lovely colour & it does seem happy where it is now.
ReplyDeleteYes, Sometimes I see this plants is grown in a group or plot to give great color and shape on a flower garden or park. A simple plant but looks so special on a landscape

I use to see this plant while young! Now I seldom see them. I planted them before but it never strive in my garden....
ReplyDeleteYes, this plant was very popular in my country, when I was a little girl. As an old fashion plant, this plant is so rare now
DeleteEndah, It's more cheerfull if we could plant it in variety of colours - pink, light pink and white.
ReplyDeleteYes, it must be so cheer. I have ever bought a package of mix seeds of gomphrena several years ago, but what a shame, no seeds were germinated.
DeleteI have never seen that plant before...It is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHere, sometime the seeds were flown by the wind, fallen down, germinated and grown wildly on the country road side.
