Oyong is well known as vegetables, but it has a lot of benefits.
This plant is commercially grown for its unripe fruits as a vegetables.

When the fruit is fully ripened it is very fibrous.

If the oyong is allowed to fully ripen and then dry out on the vine, the flesh will disappear and leave only the fibrous skeleton and seeds.
So the seeds can be easily shaken out.
