Yesterday, I got a fallen passion fruit.
The skin look reddish.
This is my first ripe fruit.
Only one...
But I saw so many reddish fruits were hanging on the vine.
This morning we found so many passion fruit ripen.
My son run into the kitchen and took a basket.
He walked here and there collected the fruits.
He look so happy.
This is our first harvest.
How many fruits that we got...
One... two... three...
We collected twelve fruits.
Look the fruits that we found.
Beautiful skin...
We make a passion fruit drink from our first fruit.
It's the simple way to enjoy the delicacy of this fruit.

We make a juice from the pulp.
The juice is a high acidity concentrate.
If the juice are sweetened and diluted, it will be a palatable drink.
So delicious...
The aroma is so fresh.
My family get a lot of vitamin C sources this week.
Thanks God.
Have a nice weekend...
They look much better than those our passion flower plant provided this year, I guess ours will remain just as ornamental plants
ReplyDeleteHere there are so many varieties of passion fruits (Passiflora sp). Here, we can find so many ornamental passion fruits, that the fruits are not edible. Their flowers are so colorful. The edible varieties are also various. Various shape, also various taste.
DeleteThe passion fruit is a great source of vitamins!

A natural source of vitamins. They have high value of nutritions.
DeleteLooks like a delicious drink. Isn't it great to have a helper in your garden? Linda
ReplyDeleteYes. Sometimes we need additional helper in my garden.
DeleteYour son looks lovely flowery lawn.
ReplyDeletePassion fruit look very appetizing.
Greetings.
He really love to play in our little lawn. You have to try passion fruit drink. The juices are already traded in the world wide. Maybe you can find the juice in the groceries there.
DeleteYummy! Do you use the skins for anything? They are much thicker than the passion fruit skins I have seen on the ones we get here (which are a dark purple colour)
ReplyDeleteI only use the skins for compost. Here, the skins are used for many kind of handycrafts. The purple passion fruits are planted in highland tropics. Mine is lowland variety.
DeleteIt is a beautiful fruit, so glad you are getting some ripe one and no bugs are eating them.
ReplyDeleteActually, fruit flies sometime destroy the fruits. They thrust their eggs into the fruits, and the larva hatch in it. The infected fruits usually look as a normal fruit, but the pulp usually rotten/decayed.
DeleteWhat a great garden you have. I have tried a few times to grow passionfruit here but the frosts are too hard for it.
ReplyDeletePassion fruits is a perennial tropical plant. Although there are highland varieties that adaptable on cool weather, but they couldn't able to stand on in the cold and freeze weather.
DeleteHave a nice day.
