YELLOW IRIS

This is my yellow iris (Trimezia sincorana).

This plant have linear leaves grow from the base of the plant.
The flowers have shade of yellow.

Actually, they love wet or humid soil.
This flower is also called water orchid.

So, they look so poor during the dry season.
Yellowish leaves and a few of flowers.

But now, in rainy season... they look so fresh.
Green leaves, fresh bright yellow flowers and dense clumps.

The dark brown spots look so contrast with the yellow base.
Really coloring my garden.

    1. Actually this plant is really easy growing on many kind of soil, except sandy place. Damp soil is the best place for them, but they can grow well on well drained untill heavy soil with a good watering, keep humid.

    1. This plant is also called fan iris. I think it has some differences with ordinary iris varieties.

  4. I have an iris which is planted in my tiny pond. I don't think it's very happy though as it's never flowered, it grows the most beautiful, healthy leaves but no flowers.
