This is my hot chilli collection.
We call it Cabe Rawit Ungu.
It's very hot and spicy.
Wow....
I took a red ripen pod from the nursery on December.
Then I sowed the seeds.
The seed was germinated successfully, but the little plants was rotten and only two plants remain.
The plant is producing a plentiful pods right now.
Last week, I found my chillies were bitten by my next door's chickens.
That's really annoying.
Then I moved the pot on to higher place.
So my chilli plant is safe.
Hope no bugs or disease...
You would think the chillies would be too hot for the chickens. Just proves they will peck at anything!
ReplyDeleteYes... you are absolutely right!
DeleteThose are nice looking peppers, my chickens won't eat peppers even if I give them some, those must have been hungry chickens.
ReplyDeleteYes, they peck anything on my front yard. And I have to replanted some plants, cause they also pulled out some little plants. Hmmm...
DeleteBeautiful! Interesting about the chickens! I like slightly spicy foods, but my son loves very hot peppers and grows some on his balcony in the summer. He would enjoy these!
ReplyDeleteAlmost Indonesian love hot and spicy foods. So, growing chilli peppers on my home garden is a must.
DeleteI love chili plants, I have 2 rawit red plants this year, but they're not flowering yet. The same as you did, I planted seeds from bought chillies :) I really love them!
ReplyDeleteYeah... that's much cheaper than buy packed seeds, low cost gardening... :)
